Gilles Brunschwig
Chairman
With an engineering degree from the École Centrale de Paris and an MBA from INSEAD, Gilles worked for 25 years in telecommunications in general management positions.
Gilles joined Altereo in early 2018 as part of a transition process with Christian Laplaud, Altereo's founder. He has been CEO of Altereo since 2018 before becoming Chairman at the end of 2022.
When he took over, he redefined the strategic axes for Altereo:

Jean-François Closet
Managing Director
An engineer specialising in hydraulics and the environment (Institut des Sciences de l'Ingénieur de Montpellier), Jean-François has over 30 years' experience in design offices.
He works as a project manager and expert in urban hydraulics and global water management on Altereo's major projects. Jean-François coordinates all technical and regulatory monitoring. He also manages Altereo's innovation strategy and research and development projects.
He is Altereo's Managing Director.
Didier Clément-Nots
Hydrétudes Managing Director
A geographer (Institut de Géographie Alpine) and French professional engineer in hydraulics, Didier has over 30 years' experience in torrent and river engineering and in managing multidisciplinary teams.
He spent 18 years working for Artelia and Egis before joining Hydrétudes over 15 years ago as Managing Director.
He joined Altereo with the entire Hydrétudes team at the end of 2023. He coordinates and manages all the projects carried out by Hydrétudes. He holds the position of Managing Director.
Paul-Henri Roux
Director of Human Resources
Paul-Henri trained in the water sector at university (1988) and then at the IAE business school in Aix-en-Provence. He was organiser of the HYDROTOP trade fair in Marseille from 1990 to 2001, then Sales Director of Nymphéa Water from 2001 to 2005.
After a year's experience in a communications agency, he joined Altereo in 2006. As a result of his experience, Paul-Henri is involved in Altereo's internal and external communications and in projects carried out for third parties.
His main mission remains the management of human resources, a position he has held since 2006.
Kevin Nirsimloo
Development Director/Marketing
An engineer from INSA Toulouse, Kevin joined Altereo in 2005. A pure Altereo product, he has carried out water and wastewater master plans, water service audits and network asset management consultancy assignments in France and abroad.
He is currently responsible for developing Altereo's activities, acting as an expert consultant and managing development/marketing. He joined the ASTEE Board of Directors in 2022.
He also has international experience in the context of Altereo's projects, as well as involvement, representation and technology watch in bodies such as the International Water Association and the Leading Edge Strategic Asset Management Conference.
Patrick Alayrangues
Development Director
With a background in science, Patrick has over 35 years' experience in technical sales and project management with software publishers and IT services companies. He joined the Group in 2002, where he has worked as a consultant and expert on major GIS implementation projects in France and abroad, dedicated to the asset management of networks and infrastructures. Since 2017, he has been the co-pilot with the Metropole of Lyon of the ASTEE working group on symbology and standard GIS data models for water and sanitation, referenced at the CNIG.
Since January 2022, Patrick has been head of the Development department, dedicated to promoting and selling the group's digital solutions and services (GIS, asset management, business software, etc.), in synergy with Altereo's network of agencies. He is also manager of the Altereo Africa subsidiary based in Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire) and contributes to international activities.
Christophe Torrente

With a legal and financial background (law and chartered accountancy), Christophe began his career in 1990 in the finance department of SAUR Nîmes.
He went on to hold a number of accounting and financial posts in the construction, business consultancy, agri-food and textile sectors.
He joined the Altereo group in 2013.
